Parenting services
Build knowledge, skills, confidence and understanding of your child’s development. Connect with EPIC’s holistic and trusted referral pathway and range of services. These
include evidence-based programming, personalised information sessions and supported playgroup
environments.

123 Magic & Emotion Coaching
This program is based on two underlying perspectives of parenting. 1, that children can learn to respond more flexibly when they’re frustrated or upset. And 2, that parents and carers can learn easy-to-use skills during parenting moments. This professional workshop includes role play, group discussion, workshops and videos, so you
can deeply understand emotional regulation for a happier home environment.
Bringing Up Great Kids
Learn key insights about development and connection with others while reflecting on communication with your child or children. This fascinating parenting program offers opportunities for mindful reflection, leading to positive change such as increased self-identity in children, respectful interactions and a strengthened relationship between you and your child.
Annual Early Years Expo & Teddy Bears Picnic
Attend this annual highlight for parents in Karratha, Port Hedland and surrounding areas for a fun and interactive day for parents and children. Local performers take to the stage and there’s even a teddy bear swap for the kids.

Hedland’s Early Years Network
EPIC proudly co-chair the Hedland Early Years Network to provide safe and healthy communities for families. Undertaking regular meetings with service providers, we encourage you as the community to join us through membership referrals to plan and deliver a range of activities, and chat all things training and professional development. All while connecting with a range of external agencies

Tuning Into Kids™
This meaningful parenting program teaches children how to understand and regulate their emotions. Research has shown that parenting styles can influence a child’s emotional intelligence. Through education, parents and children are taught how to control emotions and communicate to others how they feel to strengthen emotional, social and physical functioning with fewer behavioural difficulties.
Circle of Security
As parents, we all feel unsure of what our child might need from us at times. Imagine what it’d feel like to be able to make sense of what your child was really asking. Based on decades of research into strengthening parent-child relationships, leave with greater understanding of your child’s emotional world, how to read their emotions, how to best support your child’s ability to regulate
emotions while enhancing their self-esteem, and honouring your innate wisdom and desire for your child to feel secure.
