Stephanie's Story

Stephanie Soter is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals. Holding a Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia (UWA) and an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), she has spent over 20 years in senior roles within the not-for-profit sector. As the founder and CEO of Empowering People In Communities (EPIC) Incorporated, she has turned her vision into a reality by empowering individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.

Her professional journey began in the corporate world, where she specialised in accounting and finance. Although she achieved success in these roles, her heart was always drawn to a higher purpose: to serve others. This desire for meaningful impact led her to transition from the corporate sector to the nonprofit world, where she could use her skills to make a real difference.

In 2012, she founded EPIC with the aim of empowering individuals with disabilities. Under her leadership, EPIC has grown into a beacon of hope for the disability community across the Pilbara and Goldfields regions. Their programs focus on fostering independence, enhancing quality of life, and creating opportunities for those they serve.

As CEO, Stephanie blends strategic thinking with genuine empathy. She firmly believes that promoting a culture of inclusion and equal opportunity is not only ethically essential but also a sound business practice. Her dedication to this cause extends beyond her professional role; it is deeply personal. Outside of her professional commitments, she finds solace in spending time with her family and animals.
